This treehouse lives up to its name – Paradise! It is very spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Sitting outside on the balcony you can immerse yourself in the forest. We saw coatis and an agouti and on the walk to the house a group of squirrel monkeys! It’s an easy walk from the entrance which is nice. Having a solar powered fridge was great. I highly recommend this lovely treehouse!

If you wanna combine the experience of living in a tree house in the jungle with the luxury of electricity, refrigerator, full equipped kitchen, two veranda’s and all around wide views of the jungle: this is your spot!
Amid the Finca Bella Vista with lots of other great tree houses lays this beautiful tree mansion. It’s an easy walk from the carpark (small 4wd like Terios, Jimmy, or 4rav is more than sufficient). 10-15 minutes, you have to cross the river. I did it on my flipflips, on days after rain, it was around 30cm deep, other days it was 20cm. And when it had been raining a lot, it was to deep and you were allowed to go through basecamp and cross over the hanging rope-bridge.
Most of the visitors stay for two or three night. We stayed for 10 and that made us experience the jungle even better! You would see something changing every day, a new flower, a new tree, a leave that changed it’s colour. The silence of the jungle (lot of noise from the insects, still it felt like silence!)
The first day we were welcomed by a big group of squirrel monkeys who came by. And we saw a cocon of a butterfly, after 5 days this cocon popped open and we watched it for an hour, we saw the butterfly open it’s leaves and after we took a short walk it was still there but flew away, like it had been waiting for us to depart! Magical
Inside the finca you could make large walks, the red trail is a bit overgrown an unused, which makes it even more pretty. It took us almost 3hours to complete the round and you will pass by a lot of (unfinished) tree houses, the one even more pretty than the other.
Since we stayed there for 10 nights, we also went to other places. The tree house was a perfect base to explore the surroundings like Corcovado NP.
It is a quiet jungle (only the insects make noise), so you must be able to enjoy this silence and enjoy the peace. We did!

The place is amazing-even bigger and more spacious than the photos show. The house is well maintained and has everything you need. Everything is provided with mosquito nets, so you don’t have any uninvited guests at night. A great stay is a great stay.

What an amazing experience. We spent 6 nights. So glad that we didn’t book less. Jesus fetched us from Golfito Airport..was a much safer driver than the taxis in San Jose! We had made arrangements for Franics to prepare some food for us, which I highly recommend.
Plus we ordered Finca Fresh bags.
It was the perfect get away to disconnect, adventure, hike, swim, read.
Accommodations were perfect for the 3 of us. Treehouse location to the waterfall/river as well as the main trail (Red) was great.
Highly recommend Shoes/Water Shoes with a vibrant sole, as the trails can be really slippery (of course).
Met Matt and Amy on the trail and again at the swimming hole. Was great to chat with them. They are awesome super Interesting.
Madison and Ellis (volunteers) took us on a hike up river as well as provided a much appreciated Hambuger BBQ. We greatly enjoyed both.
We came with an open mind, and had the experience of a lifetime….

Thank you for sharing your treehouse with us. We enjoyed a short but very memorable stay. The treehouse itself was super comfortable, very well appointed and a luxury in the jungle 😊. We enjoyed the rivers, trails and resting overlooking the vistas. We were pleasantly surprised by the lack of blood thirsty insects! Guess they have better sources of food than my arms and legs. Slept without nets on.
We highly recommend a stay at Casa Paraiso!
David is an attentive host. Matt and Amy, who live on site, are lovely – they made it so easy to find. We appreciated the communication on all fronts, knowing you’ve had to find a new way forward with booking. My only advice to others would be to book through the community forum – totally easy! Sorry Airbnb

So glad you guys had a great time. Matt and Amy told me how nice it was to meet you and your lovely family.

Thank you for the comments about the forum, our home and others within the Finca Bellavista community are very different to standard vacation rentals and Airbnb does not allow us to fully express that 🙂

Safe travels and thanks again for being awesome guests!
