This place is truly amazing. It is perfect for some days of remote time in the wild. The cabina is just as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. It is super well kept and was very clean. Although it was in the middle of the jungle there were less bugs inside the cabina than in most of our previous accommodations. We were picked up at and brought to the cabina, which was good to reach with sandals and a backpack. The 4×4 is necessary to get to the parking as said in the description. All in all everything is accurate and we are super glad we had this wonderful off-grid experience. We definitely reccomend this for everyone who loves the nature. Before we came we were a bit afraid about being left all alone in the jungle, as we are not super experienced “exploradores” 😌 But while you had all the privacy you needed giving you the real remote feeling, three or four of the other cabinas in the area were also rented and we felt very safe. Thank you for this perfect adventure!

Alexa, thank you for such a kind and thorough review! It made my day, and the folks at Finca Bellavista who have put so much time and love into making treehouse dwelling into an experience that can be shared. So glad you enjoyed the immersion in nature. You are surely now experienced exploradores!

Was a great stay – the jungalow has got everything you need! We loved that we had just some lights in the evening – there were many fireflies (🪲) around! Also squirrels, monkeys and a nice hike to the waterfall. The red route is a little tricky.. if you want to hike around (lot of overgrowing 🌱) we were totally ok with the hike to the cabin as well. Great jungle stay!

        Nina,
So delighted you saw the monkeys in the daytime and the fireflies at night! Also glad you enjoyed your immersion in nature, including the hike to the waterfall. Thanks for the comments about the trail – everything grows fast in the jungle; it’s really helpful that people know that in advance (and bring boots).
        Thanks for the great review!

I had to leave after only a night because of a family issue that needed me in the states early. I will forever regret not being able to stay the extra night.
It was a beautiful experience and I’m already daydreaming about how to get back and bring my daughter for her to enjoy the beauty and solitude as well as simplicity without electricity, cell phone signal
Or internet. I loved my time there. It was well worth the visit and I’d do it again

Communication was easy. We were able to make it in an suv, but a 4×4 would have probably been a bit better. If you want to sleep in the rain forest, this is the place. We packed in some food then spent most of the day/night hiking. Great place.

Thank You Kathleen! For sharing this little piece of paradise. The instructions were very clear, and I felt I knew what to expect. If you follow them you will not run into much trouble. Thank you Matt, Amy and MJ for the hospitality and guidance, and everyone keeping the grounds. I enjoy so much my peaceful time at colibri and exploring the forest. The cabin was amazing. A perfect place if you really enjoy ‘the jungle’, and want to experience an extraordinary living. What else do we need, really?
      Pura vida!

Amazing place… you really are right in the jungle. Stayed here with my 10 year old and it was the highlight of her trip. Candlelit dinners and card games. And spotting moneys from the deck. Can’t wait to come back. When they say 4 wheel drive is a must that is NO joke. (Probably 4runner or better)

For some reason Kathleen didn’t receive our reservation made 2 days before and when we got there there was confusion about our arrival. In the end they got it all together and got us to the lovely lodging so we had a lovely stay
