Piotr Naskrecki

Piotr Naskrecki is an esteemed entomologist, photographer, and author, affiliated with the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard University. He holds an M.Sc. in Zoology from A. Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland, and a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Connecticut, Storrs. Piotr served as the Director of the Invertebrate Diversity Initiative at Conservation International and currently directs the E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Laboratory at Gorongosa National Park, Mozambique. His research centers on the evolution of katydids and related insects, as well as nature conservation. Piotr is also a founding member of the International League of Conservation Photographers (ILCP) and is dedicated to promoting the conservation of invertebrate animals through his photography. He is the author of numerous scientific papers and books, including "The Smaller Majority" and "Relics: Travels in Nature’s Time Machine." Piotr owns the Tamandua House at Finca Bellavista, an off-grid treehouse community in Costa Rica.
